Senior Accountant
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
We’re looking for a highly reliable accountant who can take full ownership of the month-end close process and ensure financials are accurate, consistent, and decision-ready. As a Senior Accountant at Accounting Frontier, you will lead core accounting workflows, review work prepared by junior team members, and serve as a key point of accountability for financial quality.
You will also act as a primary point of contact for clients, managing communication and juggling multiple deliverables across engagements. This role requires strong prioritization, attention to detail, and the ability to keep work moving without compromising accuracy.
This is an ideal role for someone who not only understands accounting mechanics, but also thinks critically about how financials reflect business performance and proactively identifies issues before they escalate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and execute the full month-end close process
- Review reconciliations and workpapers
- Prepare and deliver financial statements and reports
- Identify/resolve accounting discrepancies and gaps
- Maintain clean, consistent, and audit-ready books
- Support and guide Junior and Staff Accountants
- Ensure adherence to processes and standards
- Communicate financial insights and updates
- Continuously improve workflows, reporting, and efficiency
- Primary point of contact for clients
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 4–7 years of accounting experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Experience with reconciliations, close, and reporting
- Experience reviewing work and ensuring accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Clear communication and problem-solving skills
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
