WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

We’re looking for an experienced financial leader who can go beyond accurate reporting and help clients make better business decisions. As a Fractional CFO at Accounting Frontier, you will work directly with business owners and leadership teams to provide strategic financial guidance, improve visibility into performance, and support planning for growth.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that clean financials are the foundation—but knows how to translate those numbers into insights, direction, and action. You should be comfortable advising on cash flow, profitability, and operational decisions while ensuring the underlying financials remain accurate and reliable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a strategic financial partner to clients
  • Translate financials into clear insights
  • Lead cash flow planning and forecasting initiatives
  • Support pricing, margin, and profit decision-making
  • Oversee financial reporting quality and consistency 
  • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities
  • Guide clients on finance strategy and execution
  • Collaborate with internal accounting teams
  • Support system and process improvements for clients

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
  • 12+ years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • Experience in reporting, analysis, and forecasting
  • Experience advising business leadership
  • Experience with cash flow, profit, and planning 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial tools
  • CPA or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Ability to operate independently and think strategically
